Update - Death of woman after water rescue at Mawson Lakes

About 8.30pm Tuesday 25 March emergency services were called to Shearwater Drive after a woman was reported struggling in the water.

Patrols entered the water and pulled the unresponsive woman out of water and commenced CPR.

SAAS were quickly on scene and transported the 76-year-old woman to hospital where sadly today Wednesday 26 March she died.

Police are preparing a report for the Coroner. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
