Woman arrested at Golden Grove

A woman has been arrested after she was seen acting suspiciously around cars at Golden Grove this morning.

About 1.50am on Friday 20 September, police were called to Unique Court after reports of two people trying car door handles in the street.

When patrols arrived, they saw a woman running off from an open garage of a home in Unicorn Street. A screwdriver was left at the scene.
Officers set up cordons around the area and PD Duke was deployed to assist in the search.

The woman was subsequently found hiding in bushes on Atlantis Drive where she was arrested.

The second suspect was not located.

A 37-year-old woman from Salisbury Downs was charged with being unlawfully on premises, illegal interference of a motor vehicle and going equipped to commit an offence. She was bailed to appear int eh Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 31 October.

Police investigations are continuing.
