Man arrested at Oaklands Railway Station

A man was arrested for drug possession after causing a disturbance at Oaklands Park overnight.

Police were called to the Oaklands Railway Station just before midnight on Saturday 20 July by reports a man was causing a disturbance on a train.  The train was being held at the station for police.

It will be alleged the man provided a false name to officers.  Police checks revealed the man's true identity, and that he had a warrant and was breaching his bail.

A search also revealed he was in possession of a quantity of cannabis, methamphetamine and liquid GHB, as well as scales and drug paraphernalia.

The 43-year-old Christie Downs man was arrested and charged with breach of bail, state false personal details and two counts of possess a controlled drug.  The warrant did not allow bail and the man will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court tomorrow.
