Brighton assault under investigation

Between 10.30pm and midnight on Tuesday 15 April, a woman was walking in Gregory Lane when she was approached by an unknown man from behind and assaulted. The woman sustained bruising as a result of the incident. The man then left on foot.

The man is described as having a fair complexion, heavy build, with light coloured spiked hair. He is described as wearing a baseball style cap with grey peak.

Police are seeking any information from the public that may have been in the area of Gregory Lane, including Brighton Road and Sturt Road, at the time of the incident and may have seen any suspicious activity and/or have dash cam vision in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
