Car breaker arrested at Seaford Rise

A boy has been arrested after allegedly breaking into cars at Seaford Rise last night.

Just before 10.30pm on Monday 17 March a witness reported having their vehicle broken into on Grand Boulevard.

PolAir was quickly overhead, and followed the suspect as he tried car door handles on Henley Circuit.

Patrols arrived and stopped the suspect.

When they searched him they located a boxcutter, gloves, torch and three cans of alcohol suspected to be stolen from one of the vehicles.

The 16-year-old boy from Seaford Rise was arrested and  has been charged with 4 counts of interfere with motor vehicle, going equipped and theft.

He has been bailed to attend at the Christies Beach Youth Court on 24 April.

Police ask if anyone finds their vehicle broken into in the area this morning to call the police assistance line on 131 444.
