27 Mar 2025 5:03pm

A man has been arrested after child exploitation material was found in the southern suburbs.

Today (Thursday 27 March), investigators from the South Australian JACET, a joint taskforce between South Australia Police and Australian Federal Police, went to a house and arrested a 35-year-old man.

Police located and seized multiple electronic devices in the man's possession, which allegedly contained child exploitation material.

The suspect did not apply for bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Detective Chief Inspector George Fenwick, officer in charge of Special Crimes Investigation Section says, “This investigation highlights how law enforcement partners from across Australia are working together to identify these predators and bring them to justice. Law enforcement continues to work together to ensure perpetrators of child sexual exploitation are charged and prosecuted regardless of their location."

Members of the public who have information about people involved in child abuse and exploitation are urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or www.accce.gov.au/report

If you know abuse is happening right now or a child is at risk, call police immediately on 000.
