22 Jan 2025 7:15am

A man and woman have been arrested after they were allegedly found breaking into the shed of a Morphett Vale home this morning.

About 2.45am on Wednesday 22 January, a resident in McMahon Road alerted police after seeing two people with torches going through a rear shed.

Southern District patrols quickly responded and located a man and woman hiding in the rear yard.

A number of tools had been removed from the shed in readiness to be taken.

A 25-year-old man from Hackham and a 25-year-woman from Salisbury Downs was charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and theft.

They will also be charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle after a stolen Toyota Hilux was found near to the scene. The pair were bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 6 March.
