Drink driver Blackwood

A driver will appear in court after a single vehicle crash in Blackwood.

Just before 1am this morning (Wednesday 5 March), police and emergency services were called to Main Road after reports a Holden sedan had collided with a stobie pole.

The driver a 24-year-old man from Belair and the passenger 24-year-old woman from Warradale were not injured.

The driver was breath tested and allegedly provided a positive result of 0.109 twice the legal limit.

The man was reported for drink driving and issued a six-month instant loss of licence.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
