07 Nov 2024 6:33am

A man has lost his licence for a year after a crash at Aberfoyle Park.

It will be alleged that just after 10pm on Wednesday 6 November, police and emergency services were called to Homestead Drive, after reports that a silver Volkswagen Caddy van travelling northwest on Coachwood Drive had crashed into the back fence of a house on Homestead Drive, before driving over two retaining walls and coming to a stop against the house.

No one inside the house was injured.

The driver also escaped injury.

The 22-year-old Aberfoyle Park man underwent a breath test and returned a positive reading of 0.220.

He was reported for drink-driving and driving without due care, he was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

His car was towed from the scene and impounded for 28 days.
