Drug arrest Plympton

A man has been arrested for drug offences after a traffic stop in the Southern suburbs last night.

Just after 10pm on Sunday 20 January Police spotted a stolen vehicle in the carpark of a hotel in Plympton.

Police stopped and spoke with the driver and passenger of the white Toyota 4WD where they conducted a search of the car.

Police located approximately 24 grams of methamphetamine,5 grams of heroin,ecstasy, fentanyl, prescription medication and other drug paraphernalia.

A 48-year-old Flinders Park man was arrested and charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle, trafficking in a controlled drug, unlawful possession and possess prescription drug. He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelade Magistrates Court later today.

Police attended and searched the man’s home address further locating 100 ml of ecstasy.

A 35-year-old woman who is a resident at the property was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled drug and possess controlled drug and will appear in the Magistrates Court at a later date.
