A man will appear in court today after being arrested for drug trafficking yesterday morning in Hackham West.
About 10.50am on Monday 10 March, Southern District patrols attended a home on Village Road at Hackham West. On police arrival the occupant of the home attempted to run from police, however he was arrested in the rear yard.
Police will allege the man threw a bag of methamphetamine and cash over a fence prior to his arrest.
Police searched the property and located a homemade taser, capsicum spray, mobile phones, cash and other evidence of drug trafficking.
The occupant, a 44-year-old man, was charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of a controlled drug and two counts of possessing a dangerous article. He did not apply for bail and will appear in Christies Beach Magistrates Court today (Tuesday 11 March).
