A second person has been charged after a homemade firearm was located at a Morphett Vale home over the weekend.
About 9pm Saturday 4 January, following an investigation, Southern District police attended and searched a Morphett Vale home. Inside the property police allegedly located a homemade firearm (pictured), ammunition, and illicit drugs.
The occupant, a 41-year-old woman, was arrested and charged with possess firearm without a licence, possess ammunition, possess controlled drug and drug trafficking.
She was refused bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Monday.
As part an ongoing investigation, about 6pm Sunday 5 January, police attended and searched an address in Hackham. Inside police allegedly located a taser, firearm parts, ammunition and illicit substances.
A 26-year-old man from the address was arrested and charged with possess a dangerous article, possess ammunition without a licence, possess controlled drug and breach of bail.
He was bailed to appear at the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 13 February.
