High risk incident at Reynella

Police will allege, just before 5.30am on Sunday 16 February, a man approached a house on Peasy Place and spoke to the occupant who threatened him with a firearm.

The victim left the area and contacted police.  He was not physically injured as a result of the incident.

Police STAR Group officers, PolAir and negotiators were called in to assist and a 53-year-old man from the address was arrested without incident.

Following a search of the home, police located a firearm believed to be the one used to threaten the victim.

The man was charged with threaten to kill or endanger life, assault and possessing a firearm without a licence.  He has been refused bail and will appear in Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Monday 17 February.
