House fire at Black Forest

Just before 4.45am on Thursday 27 March police and fire crews were called to Cowper Road after reports of a house fire.

On arrival they found the dwelling ablaze.

The residents who were home at the time and neighbours from a nearby property managed to self-evacuate.

A female occupant of the address was taken to hospital with minor burns to her hand.

Fire cause Investigators attended the scene later this morning and deemed the fire to be non-suspicious.
