Hydro crop found at Plympton

A man has been arrested after a hydroponic cannabis crop was located at a Plympton home this morning.

Police attended at a Plympton property about 8.30am on Thursday 5 December after receiving a report of high electricity usage and a discrepancy in the power supply.

Southern District Police searched the home and located four grow rooms with 92 plants under cultivation. Hydroponic equipment was seized along with $15,000 in cash.

A 44-year-old man from Plympton was arrested and charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of a controlled plant and diverting electricity. He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 19 February.
