CCTV released of service station robbery

Police are investigating a robbery at a Seaview Downs service station last month and have released CCTV footage.

Just after 12.30am on Friday 13 September, police were called to a petrol station on Seacombe Road after reports of a robbery.

Police will allege a man smashed the window of the service station with a large axe and demanded cash and cigarettes.  The staff member handed over the property and the man left on foot heading north down Neath Avenue.

Patrols were quickly on scene, set up cordons and searched the area however were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as 180cm tall, with a slim build.  He was wearing all black coloured clothing a black face mask and glasses.

The employee was not physically injured as a result of the incident.
