22 Jun 2024 6:16am

A man has lost his licence for a year after he was caught speeding and drink-driving at Hackham last night.

It will be alleged that about 7.45pm on Friday 21 June, police were conducting speed detection duties on Main South Road when they recorded a black Toyota Hilux ute travelling at 82km/h in a 60km/h zone.

Police stopped the driver who underwent a breath test, returning a positive reading of 0.173.

The 27-year-old Seaford man was reported for drink-driving and exceeding the speed limit.

He was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
