A man has been arrested after being caught speeding at Morphettville.
It will be alleged that about 11.30pm on Tuesday 5 November, police spotted a silver BMW sedan in Bray Street. Checks revealed that the driver was wanted for several speeding offences that occurred recently.
The car then went east on Bray Street and north on Marion Road, when PolAir were requested to attend the scene to monitor the BMW from above.
The car then turned on to Anzac Highway to head west, then south on Morphett Road where it started to drive at high speed, at times more than double the speed limit.
The BMW then stopped back in Morphettville where the driver was arrested.
The 33-year-old Morphettville man was charged with numerous offences including driving at a dangerous speed, drive while disqualified, and driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle. His car was impounded for 28 days.
Enquiries continue regarding the other extreme speed offences the man is wanted for.
He has been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
