Suspicious Car fire at Melrose Park

Just after 3am this morning (Thursday 13 March), police and MFS were called to Leonard Street after reports of a silver Toyota sedan on fire.

MFS quickly extinguished the fire, but not before extensive damage to the vehicle had occurred. Once the fire had been extinguished, a search of the vehicle located a large amount of illicit tobacco.

Crime Scene investigators and Southern CIB are currently at the scene and have commenced an investigation, which will include any links to Operation Eclipse.
