Police are investigating two deliberately lit grass fires at Woodcroft this week.
The first incident occurred at 8.30am on Sunday 1 December where a small grass fire was found smouldering by a member of the public on Riddoch Crescent near the Tangari Regional Park.
About 1 square metre of grass was burnt. Police located an aerosol can at the scene.
The second incident occurred about 10.15pm on Wednesday 4 December on Chapel Hill Way. A small grass fire, about 1 square metre, was extinguished by a member of the public. This second fire is a short distance from Riddoch Crescent.
Again, there was evidence of an accelerant used to ignite the fire.
An unknown vehicle was seen acting suspiciously in the area at about the time of the fire and was last seen driving south on Chapel Hill Road.
Police suspect that the two fires are linked.
Investigators are appealing to anyone with dash cam footage that was travelling in the Woodcroft area at the time of the fires on Sunday and last night to come forward.
