Teen arrested over Morphett Vale damage

About 5am on Sunday 19 January, two people allegedly smashed the front window of a States Road barber shop.

Southern District CIB conducted an investigation into the incident and subsequently arrested a 17-year-old boy from Alberton.

Police will allege that following this incident, the teenager met up with another person known to him and deliberately drove his vehicle at the victim. The boy collided with the victim's vehicle causing extensive damage. The victim also suffered minor injuries to his leg and hand.

The teenager was charged with property dame and acts to cause serious harm. He was granted bail to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court at a later date.

The incidents are not believed to be random, and investigations continue with regard to the second suspect.
