Teens charged over two incidents

Two teens involved an incident at Edwardstown this week have been arrested in Ascot Park this morning.

About 9.40pm Wednesday 26 February police were called to a fast-food restaurant on Furness Avenue, after reports two teens had entered and attempted to steal a staff members mobile phone, before one also entered a rear room in an attempt to steal money.

One of the boys got away, but brave staff members managed to detain the other in the rear room until police arrived. One staff member was allegedly assaulted by the teen and received minor injuries.

The 15-year-old Davoren Park boy was charged with assault, serious criminal trespass and theft. He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on 16 April.

Just before 1am southern patrols were called to John Street, Ascot Park, after reports two teens had jumped a fence into the rear yard of a home.

Patrols, with the assistance of PD Arlo, cordoned the area quickly locating and arresting the two boys. One was allegedly armed with a machete.

One 15-year-old Elizabeth South boy was charged with breach of bail and carry offensive weapon. He was also charged with serious criminal trespass and theft. Police will allege this boy was the second suspect involved in the incident at the fast-food restaurant on Wednesday 26 February.

The other 15-year-old Davoren Park boy was charged with breach of bail. He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court today. CO2500008597
