A man has been arrested after he was stopped driving at Morphett Vale last night.
At 11.30pm, Sunday 27 April police stopped a Mitsubishi Ute on Glenhelen Road after it was seen speeding through the back streets.
Police spoke to the driver and the smell of cannabis whafted from the vehicle.
Police searched the Ute and located a large machete in the driver's footwell together with a balaclava, gloves and a small amount of cannabis and scales.
When searching the driver, they located a knuckle duster and a knife.
The driver, a 18-year-old man from Christie Downs was arrested and charged with carry offensive weapon and three counts of going equipped.
He has been bailed to attend at the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 5 June.
