Trio arrested for drug trafficking at St Marys

Police have arrested three people for drug trafficking following a search at St Marys last night.

About 5.40pm on Monday 10 March, Southern District police attended a St Marys home to conduct a search.

Officers located about 300ml of 1,4-Butanediol (GHB) which was subsequently seized.

As a result of that seizure, police later attended a Melrose Park storage facility and conducted a further search. Police located a loaded sawn-off rifle and ammunition.

A 38-year-old woman from St Marys and a 37-year-old man from Seaford Rise were both charged with trafficking in a controlled drug. They were bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 3 April.

A 40-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with trafficking in a controlled drug as well as possessing a firearm without a licence, possessing ammunition without a licence and traffic offences. He did not apply for bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today. CO2500009949
