Two men were arrested at Warradale after police found a large amount of stolen copper wiring in a vehicle at last night.
A patrol responded to reports of suspicious behaviour in Bandon Terrace, Kingston Park just after 11pm on Sunday 8 December and saw a Toyota Hilux driving away.
The ute was located a short time later in Lincoln Avenue, Warradale with two men exiting the vehicle and attempting to walk away.
In the back of the ute, officers discovered a large quantity of copper cabling.
A 42-year-old Daw Park man and a 41-year-old Warnertown man were arrested and charged with unlawful possession.
The Daw Park man was also charged with breach of bail. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court later today, Monday 9 December.
The Warnertown man was bailed to appear in court on 20 January.
