Police escort elephant to new home

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be teaming up with Zoos SA to help Burma the elephant move to her new home at Monarto Safari Park!

On Tuesday, 12 November our officers will be escorting the heavy vehicle transporting Burma from the airport, through the metropolitan area and along the Southeastern Freeway. The predicted time of departure from the airport is about 5pm.

The tunnels will be reduced to one lane to accommodate the truck whilst moving through, so expect some delays. The truck will be traveling at a lower speed limit, especially as it will be peak hour traffic on Glen Osmond Road.

To avoid disruptions, please plan your travel in advance. Let’s make Burma’s journey smooth and safe!
