Update: Woman charged following bakery crash

A driver will face court following a crash at a Goolwa bakery last month.

Just before 11am on Sunday 27 October, emergency services were called to Hutchinson Street at Goolwa after a car left the road and crashed into a bakery.

There were several people, including customers and staff, inside the shop at the time.

A 62-year-old woman, who was a customer inside the shop, was injured in the crash.  She was taken to hospital by ambulance where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the car, a 69-year-old Goolwa woman, was taken to hospital as a precaution but did not appear physically injured.

SES crews attended and helped to shore up the structure.

The car was removed and towed from the scene.

On Monday 18 November, the 69-year-old Goolwa woman, was reported for driving without due care.  She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
