Clare Valley drink driver

A drink driver was caught after crashing at Armagh this afternoon.

About 4pm Tuesday 2 July Clare police were called to Emu Flat Road after reports a Ford ute had left the road and crashed into a tree.

The driver, a 57-year-old local man, was breath tested, allegedly returning a positive reading of 0.191. he was reported for drink driving and lost his licence on the spot for 12 months.

His car was towed from the scene and he will be summonsed to appear in the Clare Magistrates Court at a later date.
