Court for driver over Two Wells burnouts

A blown tyre foiled an alleged hoon drivers’ reckless activities early this morning.

Just after midnight (Saturday 8 March) vigilant Two Wells police heard a vehicle performing burnouts near the township.

Patrols located a Ford ute on Halstead Road as well as smoke lingering in the air. Police stopped the ute and found the rear tyres were bald and one had blown, as well as allegedly locating melted rubber on the mudguards.

The driver, a 26-year-old Valley View man was reported for misuse of motor vehicle and his ute impounded for 28 days. He will be summonsed to court at a later date.
