Cyclist injured in Athelstone crash

Just before 7am 21 March, Police and emergency services attended the intersection of Addison and Hakea Avenue, Athelstone after reports that a cyclist had fallen off their bike.

The rider, a 71-year-old woman from Gilberton, suffered life threatening head injuries and was conveyed to hospital for treatment.

There were no other vehicles involved in the crash.

Major crash officers attended the scene. Investigations are continuing and any witnesses or drivers with dashcam, who have not yet spoken with Police, are encouraged to come forward.
