Drink driver arrested in northern suburbs

A man has been arrested after drink driving in the northern suburbs overnight.

About 10.40 pm on Saturday 29 June, police received reports of a white Mazda driving erratically on the Grove Way at Golden Grove.

Police were able to locate the car on the Golden Way and submitted the driver to a breath test, he returned a positive result of 0.204, over four times the legal limit.

The driver, a 39-year-old Modbury Heights man arrested and charged with drink driving and breaching his interlock conditions. He was issued a 12-month instant loss of licence and his car was impounded.

He was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court at a later date.
