Drink driver blows 0.222 at Glenside

A drink driver lost his licence after crashing into a parked car at Glenside this evening.

Police were called to Windsor Road, Glenside at 7pm on Friday 22 November by reports a van had sideswiped a parked car.

The driver, a 73-year-old Glenside man, recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.222 and was reported for drink driving and driving without due care.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

The van was impounded for 28 days and the driver was issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence.

There were no reported injuries.
