A woman will appear in court after she was caught more than five times over the legal limit in Port Augusta yesterday.

About 3.15pm on Tuesday 3 September, Police stopped a silver BMW station wagon on Boston Street, Port Augusta, for the purpose of conducting a mobile driver screening test.

The driver, a 50-year-old local woman, submitted to a breath test where she provided a positive result of 0.275.  Checks revealed the driver was unlicenced, after her driver’s licence expired in 2010.

The woman was reported for drink driving and driving unlicenced.  Her car was impounded for 28 days and she was disqualified from driving for a further 12 months.  She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
