A driver has been reported for traffic offences after he was detected 63km/h over the speed limit at Littlehampton yesterday.
At 2.50pm on Tuesday 28 January police were conducting speed detection duties on the South Eastern Freeway when they detected a Holden sedan travelling at 173km/h in a 110km/h speed zone.
The vehicle was stopped and the driver submitted to a roadside breath test which provided a positive result of 0.101.
The driver had three passengers in the vehicle.
Checks on the driver’s licence showed he was a provisional licence holder.
The 31-year-old driver from Victoria was reported for aggravated excess speed, excess speed, drink driving.
He was issued a six-month instant loss of licence and will attend court at a later date.
