Drunk driver stopped at Huntfield Heights

At 10.30am Friday 25 October, Police stopped a Toyota van after it appeared to turn off to avoid a driver testing station on Honeypot Road.

The driver was breath tested and allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.199, almost four times the legal limit.

A 40-year-old man from Hackham was reported for drink driving, issued a twelve-month instant loss of licence and his vehicle was impounded for 28 days. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
