Edithburgh drink driver

A drink driver was caught in Edithburgh last week.

Just before 10pm Friday 3 January, Yorketown and Edithburgh police were conducting driver testing duties at Edithburgh, when they were flashed (high beamed) by another driver.

Police stopped the Nissan ute and spoke to the driver, a 26-year-old man from the Eyre Peninsula. He was breath tested allegedly returned a positive reading of 0.144. Of greatest concern to police was that there was a young child in the car at the time.

He was reported for drink driving, breaching P Licence conditions, not carrying his drivers licence and inappropriate use of high beam. The man was issued a six month loss of licence  and will appear in court at a later date.
