Edwardstown drink driver

24 Jul 2024 6:46am

A drink driver was caught at Edwardstown last night.

About 7.20pm Tuesday 23 July police were patrolling along Raglan Avenue when they observed a Holden Captiva swerving in and out of the bike lane, seemingly unable to drive in a straight line.

Police activated their emergency lights and pulled the car over to speak to the driver. The driver, a 24-year-old Park Holme man, was breath tested allegedly returning a positive reading of 0.163 – over three times the limit.

He was reported for drink driving and driving in a bicycle lane and lost his licence on the spot for 12 months. His car was impounded for 28 days, and he will be summonsed to court at a later date.
