Go-kart impounded in Bordertown

A man has been reported after riding a go-kart in Bordertown.

On Wednesday 11 December, police received report that a person was driving a go-kart on numerous occasions on Ramsey Terrace at Bordertown.

Following investigations, about 6pm on Sunday 22 December, Bordertown police attended Cotton Street in Bordertown and spoke with the alleged owner and rider of the motor vehicle.

Checks on the 27-year-old local man revealed he was disqualified from holding a licence and the go-kart was not a registered motor vehicle.

He was reported for driving an unregistered motor vehicle and driving without a licence. The go-kart was impounded and he will be summonsed to appear in the Magistrates Court at a later date.
