Northern traffic police have arrested a man who crashed after doing a burnout yesterday evening.

Just before 7.30pm on Friday 28 March, witnesses called police to Cole Street, Klemzig after reports that a Holden was doing burnouts in the street and had crashed into a barrier. Traffic police attended, locating the vehicle and driver. Police will allege that the intoxicated driver refused to submit to alcohol testing and was aggressive with police and bystanders.

The man, a 45-year-old from Blair Athol, was arrested and charged with misuse of a motor vehicle, driving without due care, driving under the influence, fail to submit to breath analysis and disorderly behaviour. He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on the 25 May.

The man’s car was impounded for 28 days, and he received an on-the-spot licence disqualification for 12 months.
