A man has been reported and his car has been impounded following reports of dangerous driving from the public.

On Friday 26 April, Police were called to a licenced premises on Chambers Road, Hay Valley following reports of dangerous driving behaviour.

Officers from Road Policing Section conducted follow ups in relation to the alleged behaviour and identified one of the vehicles and alleged driver at the time.

As a result, a 28-year-old man from Mawson Lakes was reported for driving while disqualified today and his Porsche was impounded for a period of 28 days. He will be summonsed to appear in the Mount Barker Magistrates court at a later date.

Inspector Mark Atkinson from Traffic Services Branch said, “Dangerous road use is one of the leading causes of road death and injury on South Australian roads.  Police will continue to target road users who show blatant disregard to the safety of others."

Police encourage members of the public to report dangerous driving behaviour to police at the time it is occurring on 131 444. Providing police with information such as vehicle registrations, descriptions of the vehicle and driver, and capturing dashcam or CCTV footage greatly assists police investigating these incidents.
