Murray Mallee Weekend Traffic Wrap Up

The following drivers have been caught committing offences in the Murray Mallee region over the weekend.

On Saturday 9th November police stopped a vehicle on Murtho Road, Paringa and breath tested the driver. He allegedly returned a reading of 0.082. The driver a 29-year-old man from Waikerie was issued with a 6 month instant loss of licence and will be summoned to appear in Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.

On Sunday 10th November police stopped a vehicle on Railway Terrace, Renmark and breath tested the driver. He allegedly returned a reading of 0.142.Checks on the driver's licence revealed he was currently on his learner's licence and was not displaying any L plates and also did not have qualified supervising driver with him. The driver a 25-year-old man from Berri received a 6-month instant loss of licence and will be summoned to appear in Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.

On Sunday 10th December police were conducting mobile detection duties on Old Princess Highway, Murray Bridge when they detected a car speeding at 92 kph in an 80 kph zone.  The driver a 43-year-old Murray Bridge man was breath tested and returned a positive alco reading of 0.190. He was issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence and will be summoned to appear in Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.
