Para Hills drink driver

Just before 1am on Saturday 19 April, police were patrolling Para Hills when they saw a white Holden Captiva being driven on Warrigal Street and stopped if for a random driver test.

Police requested the driver’s details and checks revealed that he had provided the wrong information.  Eventually the man gave his correct details and checks indicated that he was disqualified from driving.

The man was breath tested and he provided a positive result of 0.168 – more than three times over the legal limits.

A 22-year-old man from Eyre was reported for stating false details, driving disqualified and drink driving and his car was impounded for 28 days.  He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
