Update - Fatal crash at Dry Creek

A motorcyclist has died after crashing on the North-South Motorway at Dry Creek this afternoon.

The collision occurred about 4.30pm on the Wingfield interchange on ramp to the North-South Motorway at Dry Creek.

The rider, a 19-year-old Munno Para West man, sadly died at the scene.

The road was closed for several hours while Major Crash investigators attended and examined the scene but has since reopened.

Investigators were seeking to identify the rider of a red motorcycle that was seen riding with the young man just prior to the crash. This rider has now come forward and identified himself to police.

The young rider is the 65th life lost on South Australian roads so far this year.
