A man has died following a fatal crash on the Nullarbor earlier this morning.
About 6am on Tuesday 8 April, police received a report of a serious crash involving a truck and car on the Eyre Highway. The crash occurred about 75 kilometres from the Western Australian border.
Major Crash Investigators flew to the scene to investigate the cause of the crash.
The driver of the Holden utility, an 83-year-old man from Western Australia, suffered critical injuries and sadly died this afternoon.
The truck driver, 47, and his passenger, 52, both from WA, were not physically injured in the crash.
The driver's death is the 25th life lost on South Australian roads so far this year.
One lane of the Eyre Highway has reopened to traffic, including heavy vehicles, with a contraflow to manage traffic in both directions.
