Serious crash Stockyard Plain

Police are investigating after a serious crash at Stockyard Plain this morning.

Just before 10.15am Saturday 22 February, police and emergency services were called to the Sturt Highway after reports of a crash between a Honda sedan and a Ford Ranger towing a caravan.

The driver of the Honda, a 24-year-old man from Oakden, was flown to Adelaide with life threatening injuries. His passenger was not seriously injured in the crash and taken to hospital.

The driver of the Ford, a 74-year-old man from New South Wales, and his passenger were not seriously injured, and they were taken to the local hospital for treatment.

Major Crash investigators attended the scene to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The Sturt Highway is closed and is expected to remain closed for at least another hour.
