A speeding driver tested positive for drugs after being stopped at Pallamana this morning.
Just before 10.30am on Sunday 20 October, police were patrolling along Reedy Creek Road when they detected a Holden sedan travelling at 170km/h in a 100km/h speed zone.
Police stopped the car and drug tested the driver who allegedly returned a positive result for methamphetamine.
A 46-year-old local man was issued with a six-month instant loss of licence for excessive speed and a 3 month loss of licence for drug driving. Further action may be taken pending results of a forensic analysis.
