Speeding driver loses licence

A man has lost his licence after he was detected almost 55km/h over the speed limit at Gillman today.
About 2.45pm Sunday 12 January, a State Traffic Enforcement Officer was conducting speed detection duties on the Port River Expressway when they detected a Lamborghini travelling at 144km/h in a 90km/h zone.
The vehicle was stopped and the 30-year-old driver from Athelstone was issued with a $1997 fine and a six-month instant loss of licence.
