A P plater was caught speeding at Gillman over the weekend.
About 8pm Saturday 8 March a police motorcycle member was conducting speed detection duties on the Port River Expressway when they clocked a Mercedes Benz sedan travelling at 144km/h in a 90km/h zone.
Police stopped the car and spoke to the driver, a 20-year-old Woodville Gardens man, checks revealed he held a P2 licence.
The man was fined for exceeding the speed limit and breaching a condition of his Provisional licence. He lost his licence on the spot for six months.
