Teen assaulted while riding scooter

Police are appealing for witnesses following a recent assault in Munno Para West.

About 2.30pm Sunday 9 June police were called to Stebonheath Road after reports a teen had been riding his scooter north along the eastern footpath when a white ute had allegedly driven at him.

Three people then got out of the ute and allegedly assaulted the victim before stealing his vest, beanie and necklace.

The victim, a 16-year-old northern suburbs boy, was not seriously injured and did not require medical treatment. Crime Scene Investigators attended the scene to gather evidence.

Investigators are urging a woman in a black Jeep who stopped to render assistance to the victim to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
