13 Nov 2024 9:10am

A man has been caught drink driving in Ardrossan earlier this week

Just before 11.30pm on Monday 11 November, Yorke Mid North Highway Patrol stopped a white Toyota utility on Tiddy Widdy Road at Ardrossan for a mobile driver test.

The driver, a 33-year-old man from Stirling, submitted to a breath test where he returned a positive result of 0.157.

He was reported for drink driving and issued a twelve-month immediate licence disqualification.  He will be summonsed to appear in Maitland Magistrates Court at a later date.

Sergeant Tristan Graham of Yorke Mid North Highway Patrol said "Drink driving continues to be a significant factor in road trauma and drivers continue to risk their lives, the lives of loved ones and other road users.  Police will continue to target these dangerous drivers."
